Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Spending some time and actual effort to create a top notch article… but what can I say… I put things off a lot and never seem to get nearly anything done.
Wow that was unusual. I just wrote an very long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Regardless, just wanted to say superb blog!

A lot more people should look at this and understand this side of the story. I was surprised that you’re not more popular given that you definitely have the gift.

So — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew payout actually came to once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. These days I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and it spits out returns straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at each way yankee calculator — free, no signup.
The thing that actually made a difference were the more serious extras. There’s an probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. The interface is a bit basic — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works but the acca grid are a squeeze. And no app, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who even now adds it up in their head, try it — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
