  10. Right — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

    How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never get my head round what an ew return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.

    The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return instantly, either odds format. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at yankee bet — free, no signup.

    The thing that genuinely shifted things for me were the geekier extras. They’ve got an implied probability converter which shows you the overround, plus a kelly tool — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too when I’m spreading across selections.

    Not all sunshine though. Its design feels pretty plain — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, just the site — slight shame but worth saying.

    So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, works. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that’s where I always mess it up. There’s an odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround, plus a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive.     Couple of gripes. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.

    Anyway. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who still does the maths on paper, try it — saved me plenty of « wait, that’s it? » moments.

    Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
