Le premier type de lien est le « remplacement » qui permet de signaler qu’un produit n’est plus commercialisé et de préciser par quel produit il a été remplacé le cas échéant. On peut ainsi retracer l’historique d’une « série de produits ». Par exemple, la platine CD CDJ-1000 de Pioneer fut successivement remplacée par la CDJ-1000 mk2, CDJ-1000 mk3 puis la CDJ-2000.

Produit accessoire

Le second type de lien entre produits permet de préciser que tel produit est un accessoire de tel autre produit.
