  1. So — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d say something since a mate asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows returns straight away, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at how is matched betting calculated — free, no signup.

One thing that really made a difference were the nerdier extras. The odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutching one is handy too for when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. The design feels pretty plain — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s fine although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a fair few « wait, that’s it? » moments.

  3. So — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.

The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an each way payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the part I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s here yankee betting calculator — free, no signup.

The thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the nerdier bits. The odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. The interface feels a bit basic — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it works though the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who even now adds it up in their head, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

  4. Aw, this was an extremely nice post. Spending some time and actual effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I hesitate a lot and never manage to get nearly anything done.

  7. So — been on this thing for about five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since a mate asked me the other day. Am UK based, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew payout would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — trebles maths, a lucky 15, yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s here profit accumulator calculator — free, no signup.

One thing that really changed how I bet is the nerdier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The design feels very functional, let’s say — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s no app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.

Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
