  1. Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

  2. So — been on this thing for something like six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get the return instantly, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, yankees, which is where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at how many bets in a lucky 63 and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that actually made a difference is the geekier bits. There’s an probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one is handy too for when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design looks a bit basic — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable but the bigger tables are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
