  1. Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

  2. May I simply just say what a comfort to find someone who truly knows what they’re discussing online. You certainly realize how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More and more people should check this out and understand this side of the story. I was surprised you are not more popular since you most certainly possess the gift.

  3. Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to create a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and don’t manage to get nearly anything done.

  9. Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an each way payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows the return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s over at football treble bet — free, no signup.

One thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the nerdier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable but the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me but you asked.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you still does the maths on paper, try it — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

  10. May I just say what a comfort to uncover somebody who really knows what they are discussing on the web. You definitely realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people have to check this out and understand this side of your story. I can’t believe you’re not more popular because you most certainly possess the gift.

  11. OK — been on this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since someone asked me last week. I’m UK based, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was genuinely embarrassing — I never could figure out what an ew return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it shows the return straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here no vig fair odds calculator — free, no signup.

What actually changed how I bet were the more serious extras. They’ve got an implied probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface is very functional, let’s say — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable but the acca grid are a squeeze. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

  12. Wow that was unusual. I just wrote an very long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Anyways, just wanted to say wonderful blog!
